BRIGITTE-Creative-Blog-Award 2012
Brigitte.de is looking for the most talented DIY enthusiast in the blogosphere!
Starting February 2012 the Jury will choose three most inspiring blogs every month and announce them on the 1st of the following month. Nominees will then have two weeks to submit a new DIY idea to be presented on brigitte.de. AT the end of 2012. three winners will be announced. First prize is a chance to style a major DIY story with the editorial staff for the BRIGITTE print edition.

Your design on a Booteeq T-shirt
There is a contest at Croatian Booteeq!
Stick your design on a white T-shirt, and apply. If they like it, it will be posted online for voting AND it will be available for purchase to Booteeq users. That is right, you don't need to win to have a chance to earn some money.
To apply, go here.
Before sending the preview make sure you have the priginal file ready (vectors (PDF, AI) or high resolution photo (PDF, TIFF, JPG - 300dpi). Original file will be asked for if your design is picked.

Take the Style X Design Challenge
Enter to have your design worn by a musician performing at one of the largest music events in the United States!
To enter, BurdaStyle members must post one fashion sketch and one mood board as a project, detailing their dream rock star fashion look. At least one of each image must be posted within your final project upload on BurdaStyle.com. Please note that the title must include the word “Style X” in its title.
All submissions must be uploaded by February 7 at 11:59 p.m. (EST). 5-10 sketches will be chosen by BurdaStyle, BERNINA and Style X.
On February 8th, 5 winners will be annonced. Each winning designer will then be given the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind look for a well-known musician featured at SXSW Music! The winner will be paired up with a musician to then create the garment, and will be responsible for making it. Each winner will be responsible for sourcing their fabric and notions.
The winning looks will be featured on the Style X runway, and editorial coverage on the BurdaStyle blog.
This is an incredible opportunity for new and emerging designers to have their creations seen in front of large audience of industry leaders, and have their garments worn by a true rockstar!

Sew-vivor: A Sewing Competition
UPDATE: Unfortunately open only for US ctizens!
I seem to be unable to pull myself together, and write a post. I am still spaced out and a bit lost. My blogging time has been taken up by taking care of my colicky baby. I mean, he is only 3 weeks old...so I guess I still have an excuse.
In absence of original content (I have loads of stuff lined up, I am just not able to write it up yet) I have a great announcement for you from Family Ever After.
A sewing competition called Sew-vivor! It's a spin off of the show Survivor, and it's gonna be awesome!

is looking for the best READY-MADE-Design products for the entrance area.
Hooks, wardrobes, coat-hanger, umbrella stands or storage – anything
goes!
TASK: your READY-MADE furniture should be made out of prefabricated parts that can of course be modified and it should be possible for others to replicate your READY-MADE without special knowledge or tools.
They even give examples of good READY-MADES, check them out, and get creative. It is open to anyone who feels they are up to it!And entries need to be uploaded byOctober 30. Yes!!! As I said, the deadline is really tight. The deadline has been extended to November 15. Woohooo!!

Indieup is an e-commerce site that sells products related to ecological sustainability, innovation,
design and recycling of materials and the've put together the unDO toDO!
The contest is free, it is open to participation untill November 15th. 4 winners will be chosen at the end of the contest, 3 by a jury, 1 by a popular vote and not only they win cool prizes (for details about the judges and prizes check out the PRESS KIT on their site), they also get to be marketed on Indie Up.
